Flame of God
I believe God is able. He can redeem people, relationships, reshape them, and be glorified through it.
That’s the power of grace at work, which doesn’t leave things untouched or unchanged. The Holy Spirit is our Guide and Counselor. Do we trust Him? Do we rely on Him? Even though we will make mistakes and get it wrong, we grow and learn, as long as we remain humble and teachable. The working of His mighty power in us gives me hope. Don’t give up; do surrender it to God and watch what He will do with it. I doubt it’s too broken for our God, who raises the dead to life.
Lay it all upon the altar. Ask God to consume and burn away all that He chooses, and may it be a fragrant offering. The holy flame of God will not touch what He desires to remain: it will refine and purify it.
